Sometimes your treasured piece has solid joints and surfaces but is looking a tad tired or some blemishes from items placed on them or simply just time ...!

Whilst this can be a relatively simple process to complete it can be at times a lengthy one depending on the condition of the item.

Usually a good clean followed possibly by some light sanding will bring the surface back to its former glory. If the finish is too far gone it may require sanding taking it back to original timber and then a new coat of finish applied.

Each piece will be assessed individually and the process will always be discussed with you prior to any work commencing.

Minor repairs are considered to take a couple of hours to complete.

They can be such things as a loose joint or cracked seat in a chair, a loose or small piece of veneer missing.

The piece will be assessed in our initial visit and a detailed method will be explained to you, along with providing you a detailed quote.  The repair will be completed with the utmost of care along with keeping the authenticity of the piece.

On completion the item will be wiped down to remove any dust or residue and rubbed with a light coating of mineral oil and beeswax to give it that soft lustre and protect the surface.
